Reiki

Reiki is a powerful healing technique in which the practitioner channels energy to activate the natural healing processes of the body and restore physical and emotional well-being. Energy healing promotes relaxation and can offer widespread healing to a person's entire being. It can be used to improve any number of illnesses and disorders by bringing flow to blockages or imbalances in the energy field.

Reiki is used for physical, emotional, or even spiritual healing. Each session is unique to the needs of the individual receiving energy.

After a reiki session, you may feel more peaceful, have deeper sleep, less pain, or feel lighter energetically.

In perfect conditions, our energy would be in effortless flow, completely centered and in balance. Our energetic biofield is constantly shifting and changing, however. It responds to our emotions, movement, the people around us, the stress of work or school, past trauma, and a multitude of other factors.  During a session, I’ll be looking for areas of energetic depletion, excess, blockage, and imbalance, centering and clearing the energy field.

Reiki is an excellent complementary therapy and can be combined with any other treatment, holistic or conventional.

It can only enhance these treatments.

There are a variety of reasons why you may be drawn to reiki. Some seek energy healing for support with conditions like fatigue, depression, anxiety, autoimmune disorders, ADHD, chronic pain, or neurodegenerative disorders. For others, they may be seeking relief from energetic or emotional blockages. Spiritual support or coping with the loss of a loved one might bring you to energy healing. Because reiki is such a versatile tool, there are endless ways it can provide support.

I believe we all deserve to feel grounded, embodied, and free of the energy that no longer serves us.

My goal is to help you feel balanced, clear, and at ease. When we are balanced energetically, we are able to live a life on purpose.

Frequently Asked Reiki Questions

How should I expect to feel during my session?

Everyone is so unique in how they process energy. You may feel emotions or memories arise, see colors, feel tingling or movement of energy. You might feel sensations of heat or cold. Some people feel a lot, some people feel very little. Either is perfectly normal and doesn’t indicate how much the energy is working.

Is there anything I should do during my session?

Reiki is a collaborative practice. I may ask you to take deep breaths or engage in some light visualization was we are working through the energy that arises. If you can, try to breathe into what comes up and it will flow through you more easily.

Should I talk during my session?

It’s entirely up to you. Sometimes it can be helpful to process what’s coming up by talking about it. You may prefer to have a more meditative, quiet session. Please let me know if you have a strong preference and I’m more than happy to accommodate.

Do I need to have a specific goal for reiki?

Some individuals approach reiki with a specific focus in mind and others are looking for overall balance and flow. Either way is perfect.

How often should I come in?

If your goal is to work on an acute issue more intensively for a period of time, every one to two weeks is a great frequency until it feels like you want to spread out your sessions a bit more. Maintenance reiki might look like once every few months. There is no wrong way to do this. Whatever feels right to you works great.

Do you work with kids?

I do! Kids are great at energy work. A parent or guardian needs to be present for the session for any clients under 18.
