What keeps us safe,
keeps us stuck.

Hypnotherapy can be used to discover root cause and change the programming that just isn’t working anymore.

The subconscious mind contains a collection of stories and memories, stored over the course of a lifetime. It is the house of our internal programming, our coping mechanisms, the habits we just can’t seem to break. Hypnotherapy is the art of uncovering the underlying root cause and transforming the parts of us we wish to heal. It allows us to access the subconscious mind and reveal the answers that are already within you.

Trust your knowing. All of the answers are already within you.

Hypnotherapy may be the path for you if you’ve ever felt stuck, like you don’t know why you keep ending up in the same place. Maybe you feel frustrated that you’re reliving thought patterns and a mindset that doesn’t fit the person you have become. If you have ever felt this invisible resistance arise while you’re trying to move forward and you’re not sure what to do about it, hypnotherapy might be a great tool for you.

So much of our internal programming is rooted in beliefs and messaging we’ve received in our past. Some of this messaging is direct, some is gleaned from the experiences we’ve had and the conclusions we drew from it. As we grow and mature, we gain a new understanding of ourselves and the world around us. Our conscious mind has adult awareness, but often there are parts of our subconscious mind that are running on programming that originated a long time ago and with a brain that was still developing.

Hypnotherapy helps bridge the gap between the conscious mind and our subconscious beliefs.

By bringing a new awareness and understanding to the subconscious mind, we can break through old patterns, release what no longer serves us, and open up to so much healing and expansive possibility.

Commonly Asked Hypnotherapy Questions

Can you remove pain?

If pain reduction is your primary goal with hypnotherapy, you will need a doctor’s note stating that it’s okay to remove pain. Pain is a signal from the body that something isn’t right. Removing pain without understanding the cause can potentially leave health problems unexplored.

Will I reveal all my secrets?

No. It’s a misconception that we lose all control during hypnosis. Hypnosis is a natural state that we enter into regularly during our everyday life. Think of sleepily watching a movie or getting lost in a book. You’re still fully aware of everything happening and fully capable of keeping information to yourself.

What kinds of issues can be addressed with hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is a versatile tool that helps uncover, release, and relearn patterns of behavior to help us grow, heal, and create more of what we want in life. Because hypnotherapy is such a versatile tool, there are many reasons you may want to try hypnotherapy. Some examples include anxiety, depression, phobias, desire to reach goals, unhealthy thought patterns, feeling stuck, or a desire to change behavior. If you have any questions about a specific issue you’d like to address, feel free to reach out via the contact form.

Will everything I say during my session remain confidential?

Yes, absolutely. Hypnotherapy can be quite personal. I take confidentiality and ethics very seriously. The only exception to absolute confidentiality is a duty to report the following:

  • You confess to a major crime or felony.

  • You are a minor and there is evidence of abuse.

  • There is a court subpoena relating to this session.

Beyond the listed exceptions, the content of your session will remain completely private.

Can kids benefit from hypnotherapy?

Absolutely! Hypnotherapy can be a great tool for challenges kids face such as school anxiety, trouble sleeping, self esteem, coping with worry, or processing emotions in a healthy way. Kids are so naturally imaginative. They often have a much easier time accessing their subconscious mind. Feel free to reach out to me via the contact form if you have any questions about a particular issue your child would like to work on and if it would be a good fit for kids hypnotherapy.
